Hi Simone,
Apologies for my slow response! I guess I feel that this is more of an in-house recruitment trend driven by the current conditions but it also matches the interests of recruiters to broaden their skill base in these times...

The tools we use depend on what type of candidate we're trying to target. Understanding the values and job searching behaviours of our 'ideal candidate' is key to understanding which online networking tools we could utilise. Rgds, Aylin

Hi there Simone,
In our team we've successfully used LinkedIn to recruit by building relationships with our contacts they begin to trust what we do/who we are which allows us to leverage off these relationships. I've used Twitter as a way to converse with potential candidates, this has been a great tool as i've been sent several resumes for opportunities.
An ongoing aspect of my role is to moniter these and a number of other tools so i try to keep up with ongoing trends/tools - i've learnt that it takes time, patience and more than anything, understanding and creative thinking ;)
Hope that answers your question, would be interested to hear your thoughts?
Rgds, Aylin

Hi Simone

All very positive as you can imagine candidates are not always treated that well by recrutiment companies and we have always strived to do the best we can for people so it was nice to be recognised. Thanks for asking.
Regards Marie

Hi Simone, Well... if i can be honest its the first time i have added an interest of "social media" to any profile so; good question. I see social media as a tool however at times its like talking to yourself, but not as fun! Just last week I recieved my first "job brief" via Linkedin after several years of use. Twitter has become the new focus and have already made some great connections there. My expectations of social media are purely for branding purposes, personal and professional.

I havent had a thorough look around this site as yet but will do so very soon including a an update of my profile.

Cheers Simone,

Brad.
